Project Proposal

Aquaculture development using innovative physical approach

Abstract

Fish are highly necessary as a source of animal protein due to “low prices in
developing countries.” The health status and performance of farmed fish are known
to be critical in aquaculture and have a significant impact on the economic values of
the aquaculture system. Aquaculture system with great interest to increase the
utilization of fish feed provided to them when breeding.
However, many macro and micro feed components have been used in the fish
industry to improve the performance of cultured fish species while not being
adequately assessed.
The International Organization of Science and Technology (I-ACT) offers
project to introduce some rare inorganic soil elements that are difficult to obtain in
nature and which will be produced using innovative physical methods and
empirically assessed for use in freshwater fish. Fish and their productivity in terms of
growth rate, immunological status, hematological parameters, biochemistry and
histopathological examination of tilapia which are experimentally reared will be
evaluated. These are among the most important parameters to be used in assessing
positive aspects when using such elements.
